5pcs. Russian Nesting Doll "Tale of Giant Turnip" by Samsonov

A 5pcs. Russian Nesting Doll   Handpainted by the Fedoskino artist Samsonov. The artwork is of the famous fairytale of "The Giant Turnip". The set is completely handpainted and signed by the artist. The size of the doll is 7 inches tall by 4 inches wide (18 by 10 cm).

Once upon a time there was a grandfather.
He wanted to grow turnips so he put some seeds here and there on his garden.
He said, “ Grow, grow little turnips, grow sweet! Grow, grow little turnips, grow strong!”

One day the grandfather got up early to check his seeds.
He looked out of the window and could not believe his eyes.
There was an enormous turnip!

As fast as he could the little old man ran outside.
"That is just what I dreamed about! An enormous turnip!", said the grandfather in surprise.

The old man got hold of it and pulled and pulled and pulled.
But he could not pull the turnip out.
He called his wife, the grandmother.
"Grandmother! Grandmother! I need your help!"

So grandmother pulled grandfather and grandfather pulled the enormous turnip.
But still they could not pull the turnip out.

So the grandmother called for the father.
"Father! Father! We need your help!"

So father pulled grandmother and grandmother pulled grandfather and grandfather pulled the enormous turnip.
But still they could not pull the turnip out.

The father called for the mother, his wife.
"Mother! Mother! We need your help!"

So mother pulled father and father pulled grandmother and grandmother pulled grandfather and grandfather pulled the enormous turnip.
But still they could not pull the turnip out.
The mother called for the uncle.
"Uncle! Uncle!? We need your help!"

So uncle pulled mother and mother pulled father and father pulled grandmother and grandmother pulled grandfather and grandfather pulled the enormous turnip.
But still they could not pull the turnip out.

The uncle called for the aunt.
"Aunt! Aunt! We need your help!"

So aunt pulled uncle and uncle pulled mother and mother pulled father and father pulled grandmother and grandmother pulled grandfather and grandfather pulled the enormous turnip.
But still they could not pull the turnip out.

Now little daughter came into the garden. She said, "I will help you!"

So little daughter pulled aunt and aunt pulled uncle and uncle pulled mother and mother pulled father and father pulled grandmother and grandmother pulled grandfather and grandfather pulled the enormous turnip.

They pulled and pulled and pulled and pulled and pulled... and – POP!!!- the enormous turnip came out. They all fell on the ground!
