This interesting piece is the original work of a family tandem of Konstantin and Svetlana Danshin.
It shows a mermaid came out of the ocean water. Mermaid is sit on the small stone coming out the water and winded around with octopus.
Several pieces of mother of pearl were used here: dark green one in the stone, on which mermaid sit,
the white ones-in the Moon and mermaid's body. Size: 4 by 5.75 by 1.5 inches (10.5 by 14.5 by 4 cm).
The composition is framed with a gold line, two other gold lines are used in the decoration of the sides of the box.
The imitation of a green marble is used to decorate the box base's exterior. The interior of the box is traditionally covered with red lacquer.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. It has a hinge from the left of the scene, and rests on a flat bottom.
The work is signed with the artist's names.
