Russian Lacquer box depicting one of the most beautiful cities in the world Saint Petersburg. He portrays the architecture of Saint Ptersburg overlooking the neva river.
Makarichev is a graduate of the khouli art school of lacquer miniature masters. The size of the box is 6.5 x 2.5 x 1.75 inches ( 17 x 7 x 5 cm ). The box is singed on the bottom
right hand corner of the box. Most lacquer boxes as well as this one are made from compressed papier mache which makes it harder than wood then hand painted and lacquered by the
artist.
