A beautiful piece by the very talented artist Natasha Lapina "Female Sailor". This is not a nesting doll but a Nevalashka in Russian meaning Rolly Polly in english. There is a bell inside the doll that rings when the piece is pushed or shaked. This is a one of a kind piece of artwork. This artist is a graduate of the Symbrisk art school. The excellent artwork features a female sailor with her sailing hat on with the soviet red army emblem. On the back of the doll a sailboat is painted with beautiful colors. On her lap she has her kitty cat with her stored inb a carrying basket. There is handmade lady bug on the side of the piece with apples, grapes. and reading material. The size of the piece is 5.5 inches tall and 4 inches wide or 14 by 10 cm. The Nevalashka is signed by the artist on the bottom. The lacquer finish is a matte finish.
